I worked at a mexican restaurant called ‘Cultivar’ back when I lived in Oklahoma.
Every year for the OKC Marathon we would host breakfast for the runners and then switch to a limited lunch menu for the rest of the day.


Wake up time was 4:30am for my roommate (and co worker, she was a server) and I for this event that started at 6am with breakfast and race at 7am.
We might have had a closing shift at the restaurant tje night before this Sunday even AND we went out for drinks till late 🫠
All roads are closed for this and we needed badges to enter the event.

While working I took a break and noticed this man holding the flag. 🥰

Our restaurant sits directly by the finish line! We got to see all the runner coming in (:
I saw firefighters in FULL gear running in packs being cheered on at the finish line.

After a full 15 HOURS the day was finally over. Set up at 4:30am and taking everything down by 9:30pm was super fun and crazy but on 3 hours of sleep I was FEELING it.
