It’s valentine’s day week at school. It’s also the week we are learning about kindness. We are learning how we can “fill each other’s buckets” with positive attitude and kind words.
It’s wednesday, so my shift is usually from 9 am to 6 pm.

4pm and STILL working on the same stuff from an hour ago. It’s starting to become pickup time.So there’s more and more interruptions from saying goodbye to answering parent questions. (photo credit: AngelicaLauraPhotography) 
4:45pm and stuff got WILD. Started cleaning the kitchen! Im on kitchen duty because our cook was out for the day. My director made lunch for the school, while I was in my meeting. It was only fair that I helped cleaning up. (photo credit: AngelicaLauraPhotography) 
5:09pm and the kitchen is done. Im totally soaked. (photo credit: AngelicaLauraPhotography) After the dishes got my soaked I went outside on the playground to check in with my closing teachers and see the kiddos! (Also dry off a little even though the sun was setting)

I had 3 different meetings back to back, all about different topics.

Clocked in at 8:01am. Johnson Control was in at 8:10am followed by our HVAC guy at 8:12am.

My Grandma Bia
My best friend. (photo credit: AngelicaLauraPhotography) She used to dunk her cookies in milk all the time. She applied lipstick on me whenever she was done doing her makeup. She lived in Florida up until my parents moved her to a nursing home here in CA. When I lived in germany when I was younger, Grandma Bia 👵 would only be able to visit during the holidays and every so often. When we moved to CA I think she was able to travel only 1 time.
She passed away from all while I was in college taking my finals 😩 I wasn’t able to leave to say goodbye to her or to spread her ashes. It haunts me everyday.
I learned a lot from her ❤️💖

I am an assistant director at a daycare in the town I have lived in since I was in 1st grade.
I moved away after I graduated college and moved back to CA in 2023.
Found the job i’m currently at and started as a floater ( someone who does ten minute breaks fir the teachers in the class, also did 1 hour lunches for the teacher).
I had the privilege of moving up to be coming an assistant director a little over a year ago and I love it.
Every day is different. I’m on a computer answering emails, checking Power BI, excel sheets and live document. On top of that, i’m in charge of all the child files as well as the teacher files.
I spend my morning at the desk then.I’m usually in the classroom doing lunch works and then I come back and do my lunch and then i’m back at the computer.
I attend meeting (usally tuesday and thursday), give school tours,attend to a child that needs assistance or a teacher can assistance.
So i’m up for my desk very often sometimes in between emails lol.
I tried to capture a day in my life so here it it.
Woke up at 5am. Layed in bed till 745am. Took a shower. Out the door by 830am. Drove to work. Clocked in at 9am after talking to some teachers and checking emails. I don’t like to clock in early if I arrive 20 minutes early to work.
So here we go! Tried to time stamps as much as possible!

A teacher wanted coffee at like 928am so I went and got coffee. Finally was able to settle down around 10am at the computer. (photo credit: AngelicaLauraPhotography)

I have been following the sweet lady since I can remember. When I woke up at 2am to watch her run, her final downhill skiing competition.
Sweet Lindsey was able to get 13 seconds of a run in before she crashed:(
Sending so much love and prayers for her and her family.
